Cute and funny, puffins are my relaxation… what’s not to like?
Puffins are a very special visitor to our British waters. In fact I read recently that they are yet another species classed as in a spot of bother, which I found rather confusing and worrying. So I decided that it was about time that I put my wildlife photography on the map. These fantastic little creatures deserve our awareness, respect and protection!
Wildlife photography takes up some of my time in the spring and summer, especially during the puffin season. It is here that I have gained a bit of a reputation as a character driven wildlife photographer with awards to match.
It turned out that on a trip to the Farne Islands several years ago, that these funny little creatures would forge a way in to my heart that was so strong, I have been every year since.
In fact, I now go further afield to Scotland in constant search of my ultimate wildlife image.
My taking to this side of photography has been like a puffin to water, probably because my approach to wedding photography is very similar – being observant for the quirky and quick off the mark.
And it’s not just puffins anymore
After exhibiting at a number of fairs around the UK in 2018, I have started expanding my range of images to include all sorts of British wildlife, landscapes and seascapes. Such was the success of this, I have revamped my website shop www.thepuffinman.co.uk. You will find a lot more of my work here, so please take a look!
My wildlife photography prints are also available direct through myself. You can have anything from an A4 mounted and framed print, right up to a great reception back-drop!
Just give me a call to discuss.
A collection of my seabird wildlife photography is also available through the Scottish Seabird Centre.
