A quick introduction
I am a Lancashire Photographer who resides in the west pennine moorland of Rossendale, near Manchester. So I primarily work throughout the North West also covering the Lake District, Yorkshire and Cheshire. However I have been known to work further afield throughout the UK.
If you have a look around this site, you will find there are some other sides to my work. My commercial photography and architectural photography is growing at a nice rate. Also my wildlife photography is getting increasing recognition throughout the UK.
So whichever photographic service you may require, you will find I am quite adaptable!
BIPP Associate Level Photographer
In November 2016, I was made an Associate Level member of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).
A quick history of Chris Wright ABIPP, Lancashire Photographer
I have been a Lancashire photographer on a commercial professional level since 2003. This was mainly as support to my core business of Graphic Design. It proved so successful that in 2009 I decided to take photography more seriously.
In 2010, I tried an estate agent specific service concentrating on commercial photography for mansions. This had interesting results and I made some good friends.
In 2011 I was asked to shoot a wedding for a former design client. Despite my reservations, I decided to give it a go. The results were not perfect, but encouraging. Certainly enough for me to know that I wanted to pursue and improve as a wedding photographer. So I set about gaining experience with the wedding industry.
By 2012, I was well on the way to demonstrating myself as a documentary wedding photographer. My style was developing a distinctly humorous edge, with a passion for the quirky. Due to the strength of my work, the BIPP awarded me with a Licentiate Qualification in March 2013.
Following this, my commissions as a photographer increased. I also received awards to match. In 2016, I won nine prizes including the Gold Trophy for Classic Wedding Photographer at the BIPP North West Awards.
In 2016 I took a break concentrating on my wildlife work, with some quite spectacular results! The success was so great that I launched a new brand called The Puffin Man with products sold around the UK.
Now the wildlife side is rolling, it is time to return to my wedding photography and increase my events service. So lots to do! The future keeps going from strength to strength. Let’s see what 2018 has in store!
